About StockSince
Last updated: October 2026
StockSince tracks how long it has been since each US-listed stock closed at its all-time high, and how far it has fallen since.
What the site shows
- For each active ticker: the days since its highest close, how far the latest close is below it, and the gain needed to get back.
- Rankings of the stocks longest and shortest without a new high, and those furthest below theirs.
- Comparisons of two stocks over the same period.
- What an amount bought at the high, or at the start of a chosen period, would be worth at the end of it.
How the figures are calculated
- Split-adjusted closes. Daily closing prices are adjusted for stock splits, so a split doesn’t look like a crash or a jump.
- Price return only. Dividends are not included. For stocks that pay large dividends, the total return to a holder is higher than shown.
- All-time high is the highest split-adjusted daily close, not the intraday high. Days since the high are calendar days.
- Comparisons use only the trading days both stocks have prices for, and report the gap between their returns in percentage points.
- Annualized returns are shown only for periods of a year or more.
Data sources and quality
End-of-day prices and stock splits come from a third-party market data provider and are updated daily after the US market closes. Prices are closes, not live quotes.
For a few tickers, the provider’s earliest history is inconsistent with the rest. Those early sessions are excluded from charts, highs and comparisons, so the history shown for them starts later.

Limitations
- Data may contain errors, gaps or delays. Check figures with your broker or another primary source before relying on them.
- Actual returns also depend on dividends, fees, taxes and the prices you trade at, none of which are modelled here.
- Past performance does not predict future results.
